The 5% platform fee
For orders placed on or after 4 October 2026, the platform fee is 5% when you record a packing video. The video runs from packing the book until you hand the parcel to the delivery partner. It protects both you and the buyer if a parcel is disputed. Check the Seller Rules for the exact video requirements.

Delivery and pickup charges
The buyer pays delivery on top of your price. It is not deducted from your payout. Pickup is free, except when a parcel ships through India Post, where a ₹50 home pickup charge applies.
When you are paid
Payment is settled after the order is delivered. Bookaao does not pay out before delivery is confirmed.
